Join the Tonkiri healers for an on-line, socially-distant, live-stream ceremony with special guest Maestro Juan Flores from the Peruvian Amazon.

In the Amazon, the maloca is a traditional long house where families and communities gather and do ceremony. The maloca is a microcosm of the universe. In the Peruvian Amazon, Maestro Flores conducts his plant ceremonies in a majestic maloca on the shores of the sacred boiling river. At Tonkiri, in Canada, we conduct plant ceremonies in a winter lodge on the side of the Whitemouth River. Both spaces take us to the same place. Both spaces are doorways to the spiritual realms where healing, learning and transformation is possible.

In ceremony, the healers sing icaros (songs of gratitude) that invite the spirits of nature to heal and teach us. With open hearts, those that listen, will receive these spiritual blessings, be it physically together in a maloca, or physically separated in their homes around the world. There is no distance in the spiritual realms and each human heart is a doorway into this truth.

In 2021, the world finds itself isolated at home but connected digitally via world wide web. This is the time for a new ceremony driven by ancient teachings. The Tonkiri World Maloca is a ceremony for the world with hopes to bring spiritual healing everywhere and to everyone.

Please join us on Friday January 15th at 7 PM CST for a very special inaugural ceremony with our teacher, Maestro Flores, connecting with us from the Peruvian Amazon. To share ceremonial space with him, in such a way, at this time, is a glorious turn of events, and we are excited to share it with the world.
